What is without periods of rest will not endure......Ovid
How was your week? Exhausting? You come home after a long week and begin the home projects that are always waiting. If you take time to rest, you may even feel a little guilty, as if you are wasting precious time or being lazy.
Perish the thought. God has actually mandated that one day of your week be set aside for rest. It will be medicine to your active mind and body. But, rest should not be relegated only to that day. It is also wise to take a few minutes in the course of every day to pause and take a breather.
Your Creator rested on the seventh day of creation. If Almighty God took time to rest, should not you?
