Provider Tax Information
Child Care Food Program reimbursement is not considered income for tax purposes. The money you receive from the Child and Adult Care Food Program is considered reimbursement for food. There is an IRS standard meal allowance rate that can be used for 2009 tax purposes. You will need to have a copy of the total number of meals served for the year in order to calculate your standard meal allowance.
Online claimers do not need to keep track of meal totals. The Minute Menu system will track all year end tax information for you on a continual basis. This information can be obtained at any time during the year by printing a tax report from your Minute Menu site. To do so, click on \"Reports\", then \"Claim\", then \"Tax Report\".
Providers who have not switched to the standard meal allowance deduction and continue to use a food cost deduction, please call the office for your 2009 year end total reimbursement. No statements will be mailed due to the majority of providers who have switched to the standard meal allowance.
Annual Spring Training
First Step Spring trainings are just around the corner! Trainings will begin in April. If you have not returned the registration that was mailed last month, please do so immediately. We understand that we cannot meet every provider\'s optimal choice of training date and/or location. Please mark the training date on your calendar, as reminders will not be mailed.
Group trainings are an opportunity for providers to share ideas and concerns about childcare. They are also a forum for providing technical assistance in problem areas. These sessions are a requirement of the Department of Education for continued participation in the Child and Adult Care Food Program. Valid individual hardships will be considered on single case basis, and must be discussed with Anne prior to the training date.
Additional training registrations can be printed from our website. Click on \"Downloads\"/Provider Forms\", \"2010 Training Registration\".
Recipes for the Soul ...
\"Snowflakes are one of nature\'s most fragile things, but just look at what they can do when they stick together.\" - Vista M. Kelly
A Common Purpose
Have you ever noticed how much fun everything becomes when you\'re involved with people you love? Making dinner or painting a room in your house may feel like a chore when you\'re alone, but throw some friends into the mix and it becomes a party. When you work together, the possibilities are limitless.
Simple Steps ...
Take the burden off a routine household chore, like cleaning out the garage, by doing it as a family or with friends. Put on music and have some fun. It\'s only work if you say it is!
Avoid keeping your concerns and problems bottled up inside. Remember, you\'re part of a family and others may help you find solutions.
